Jenjum Gadi FW 14
July 04, 2014
What happens when a designer takes his north eastern roots
to a country like Turkey and comes up with a collection that poses the soul of
both the places?
Jenjum Gadi takes inspiration from his travels through
Turkey, particularly from the local Iznik art and amalgamates them into a
collection with a North East twist. This fastidious work of art consolidates
Ottoman Arabesque examples with Chinese components, in colors if cobalt blue
and turquoise. In Turkish Delight, Jen makes a collection that pays tribute to
this rousing fine art by reproducing the themes utilizing fine bead and ribbons,
on a canvas of strong shades of color.
